Shootbolt Extensions

Nico manufacture several ranges of shootbolt extension which can be used with a combination of shootbolt gearboxes. Extensions can suit large windows, low handle height windows and slave windows, as well as standard casements. As components within shootbolt assemblies they have been fully tested, including to PAS24 and BS EN 6375.

Testing & Technical

  • Made in Britain to an ISO 9001 Quality System
  • Shootbolt assemblies are successfully security tested as a critical component within PAS 24 : 2016
  • Shootbolt assemblies are Secured By Design approved as a Police Preferred Specification
  • Successfully tested to BS EN 1670 Grade 5 ( 480 hours ) corrosion resistance
  • Shootbolt assemblies are successfully tested to BS EN 13126-4 for durability, strength and function
  • Shootbolt assemblies are successfully cycle tested as a critical component within BS EN 6375 Pt 2 ( Resistance to repeated opening and closing )
  • Shootbolt assemblies are successfully weather tested as a critical component within BS EN 6375 Pt 1 ( Air, wind and water testing )

Nico Shootbolts have been endurance tested to 3 times the British Standard requirement.

Shootbolt Extensions for Master Sash of French Windows

These extensions are used on the master sash when it requires the cam to be positioned further away from the corner than standard extensions. Sizes for the above extensions follow the information provided above for the Nico MK1 and MK 2 Shootbolts.
