MK1 Shootbolt

Designed for strength and reliability the MK 1 Shootbolt Locking System is built to the most exacting standards to provide an effective, secure locking system and a smooth closing action. Steel shootbolts lock into robust profile specific keeps to provide security in the vulnerable corner of the window, with mushroom cams providing additional strength and weatherseal compression adjustment. Extremely versatile, it can be used for low handle height applications and a range of French Window designs.

  • Successfully tested to BS EN 1670 Grade 5 ( 480 hours ) corrosion resistance
  • Successfully tested to BS EN 13126-4 for durability, strength and function
  • Successfully cycle tested as a critical component within BS EN 6375 Pt 2 ( Resistance to repeated opening and closing )
  • Successfully weather tested as a critical component within BS EN 6375 Pt 1 ( Air, wind and water testing )

The MK 1 Shootbolt has been endurance tested to 3 times the British Standard requirement.

Technical Data

The MK 1 Shootbolt is fast and easy to fit in a standard eurogroove. It features a 20mm or 22mm Gearbox and eccentric cams of 7.8mm or 9mm. The cams allow weatherseal pressure adjustment of +/- 1mm. A range of extensions (detailed on the Shootbolt Extensions webpage) make the shootbolt suitable for a wide range of window applications.
